Imphal, August 19 2025:
Lessons being taught to the Congress party by citizens of the country during three consecutive terms of BJP government at the Centre are not yet over as people will continue to hold the grand old party responsible for decades of suffering of the commoners, stated BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president N Nimbus.
Addressing media persons at BJP's Thambal Shanglen office, Nityaipat Chuthek on Tuesday, N Nimbus said Congress party was involved in various scams from the year 2004 to 2014 with many leaders of the party penalised even if some managed to escape from punishment.
Due to party's unfair activities for a long time, people of the country taught a befitting lesson to Congress and dethroned the party from power.
"Congress should understand that the people had rejected the party and more such rejection is imminent," he said, adding that recent allegations against BJP were baseless and reflected growing frustration within the Opposition ahead of the elections in some states.
According to N Nimbus, Congress party does not want to highlight or appreciate good works being done by BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Unable to match with development initiatives under PM Modi's NDA government, Congress party resorted to accusations of electoral malpractices," he alleged, adding the 'venom' being spread by Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi would not last long as people of the country had already awakened.
Condemning Congress party's use of un-parliamentary language 'Vote Chor' during protests to mislead citizens of the country, Nimbus said citizens of the coun try are well aware of who had indulged in unfair practices in the past elections.
Congress party should also understand that it had lost credibility due to numerous scams during its tenure from 2004 to 2014, he pointed out.
While reiterating BJP's stand on territorial integrity of Manipur, Nimbus said there is no agenda of BJP for granting separate administration as is evident from party's state and national leaders making their stand clear on the matter.
However, Congress party is yet to declare their decision on the integrity of Manipur and is instead spreading lies to public, Nimbus alleged.
BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary K Sarat Kumar, who also attended the press conference, said people had already rejected the Congress and the party now fears suffering defeat in the upcoming elections in some states including Bihar as PM Modi's 'Congress Mukt Bharat' would gain momentum.
Additionally, people of the country are now fully aware of Congress party's misconduct and unfair practices in the past, he said.
Regarding Congress party's allegation of vote theft, Sarat Kumar said the matter had already been dealt with by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the commission had already given its ruling.
With the fear that BJP would wrest power in states going to the polls, Congress party is spreading lies to public with vote theft allegation being one of them.
Congress party should know that investigation'agencies of the country had not found any evidence to back party's vote theft allegation, he said and described Congress' campaign as an act of desperation over the fear of losing the upcoming elections.
