Tree plantation drive held at Ningel Thumkhong

Thoubal, July 19 2026: The Geography Department of Fancier Higher Secondary School organised a tree plantation drive at Yairipok Ningel Thumkhong in Thoubal district on Sunday as part of a field visit survey.

Students of the department, accompanied by teachers, planted a variety of fruit-bearing and leafy saplings in and around Ningel Thumkhong with the objective of preserving and restoring the local ecology.

Speaking on the occasion, school teacher Thingujam Roshan Singh expressed gratitude to the members of the Ningel Youth Club for their voluntary support and valuable assistance in making the initiative a success.

The plantation programme was also attended by the school's Vice-Principal Asem Raju and teacher Waikhom Bijoykumar, among others.
