'Shiyomnunggi Wakat' released

Imphal, July 18 2026: Theatre director, actor and playwright Nandakumar Moirangthem's short story collection "Shiyomninggi Wakat" was released today at the auditorium of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Keishampat.

The book contains 10 short stories.

The release function was attended by Longjam Joychandra Singh, president, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Imphal as chief guest, Prof Nahakpam Aruna, retired Professor, Manipur University as guest of honour, and retired IAS officer Kangjam Radhakumar as president.

Speaking on the occasion, Nandakumar said some stories were earlier adapted as Shumang Leela, dramas and tele-films for Doordarshan Kendra Imphal and ISTV, while the unpublished ones are now compiled in the book.
