Horticulture Inputs distributed in Chandel

Chandel, July 16 2025: Horticulture Inputs under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for Drop More Crop-Micro Irrigation were distributed at the Conference Hall, DC Complex, Chandel today.

Organised by the District Officer (Horticulture & Soil Conservation), Chandel, items such as water pumps, water soluble fertilizers, pipes, sprayers were distributed to over 50 farmers of the district.

NPK, plastic mulching film were distributed under MIDH while pumpset with accessories were distributed under PMKSY.

The distribution event was attended by Md Firoj Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Chandel as chief guest; Khagokpam Sundeep Singh, District Officer (Horticulture & Soil Conservation) as president and Md Gayasuddin Khan, SDO Khengjoy, Md Tajuddin SDO Chakpikarong and N Pritam Singh, SDO Chandel as guests of honour.

Addressing the event, Md Gayasuddin Khan, SDO Khengjoy, said the equipment and accessories were distributed so that farmers could increase their products and therefore urged them to make good use of the equipment.

Over 50 farmers from the district received the equipment.
