Tree saplings planted at Khoken village

As part of its commitment to community service and environmental sustainability, Assam Rifles conducted a tree plantation drive on Thursday in New Khoken village, Kangpokpi district.
The event saw the participation of 14 locals alongside Assam Rifles personnel, with a total of 110 saplings planted.
This initiative aims to foster environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices within the local community.
It was part of the Assam Rifles' ongoing efforts to support ecological conservation and strengthen civil-military relations, particularly in remote areas.
The residents of New Khoken village expressed their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging the positive impact of such engagements.
"Events like these will help promote the vision of the 'National Mission for Green India' and further strengthen the bond between Assam Rifles and the local populace," they said.
