Polio immunization campaign launched

Thoubal/Kakching, October 13 2025: The Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) campaign was launched in Thoubal by Dr Kh Trusty, District Family Welfare Officer yesterday.

The campaign will conclude on October 14 .

The programme was organised by the District Family Welfare Office, Thoubal and held at Urban health Centre, Thoubal.

The District Health Society Kakching under the supervision of CMO Kakching too organised the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) 2025 campaign at 136 booths across Kakching district, under the supervision of Dr Thaodem Rajen Singh, CMO Kakching and Dr Ksh Sumati, District Immunization Officer, Kakching, with active participation from staff of District Health Society Kakching and health facilities.

A total of 9,972 children were vaccinated.

Mobile team of CHC Kakching administered polio vaccine doses at the Garrison Hospital, Kakching organised by the 46th Assam Rifles.
