Imphal, December 12 2025: The Like Minded Group (LMG) today provided financial assistance of Rs 4,000 to Elangbam Inaobi Devi (65), w/o Elangbam Komol of Wangjing Keithel, whose purse was recently snatched by an unidentified miscreant.

The incident occurred on the evening of December 11 at Wangjing Keithel, where Inaobi, who supports her family by selling charcoal, had her purse stolen by an unknown person while she was arranging and fixing her charcoal bundles.

Speaking in this connection, LMG secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam expressed concern over the rising cases of snatching involving women vendors at marketplaces.

He noted that such crimes often target women engaged in small-scaled livelihoods and urged them to remain vigilant and take precautions to safeguard their belongings.

He further appealed to authorities to take necessary action by reviewing CCTV footage in and around the market and initiate measures to identify and apprehend the culprit.
