Imphal, June 12 2025:
Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me, Bangalore (PNTMB) hosted the second edition of Paonii 2025 at All Saints' Church, Bengaluru, in Karnataka on June 10.As per a release, Paonii, traditionally celebrated in the remote, rolling villages of Manipur, marks the beginning of the agricultural season for the Poumai Naga people.
It's a festival of the land.
But in Bengaluru, it became something more a reconnection, a reckoning, a reminder.

The event were marked by musical performances by Siirene Rova, Veino Pao, SK Shila, Pahriilou Pearson, Shoveine and Vei Mi; conduct of Mr and Miss Paonii 2025 with Tharinyio Epao from the Chakhesang community and Lina Zhimo from the Sumi tribe winning the titles, and holding of Poumai wrestling championship with Avio-o of Tunggam clinching the title, followed by TS Khuingai (Ngairi Raidulomai), Mehsud-o (Phuba) and Koveidu Paodukhumai (Tungjoy).
The release also stated that authentic Naga cuisines buffet, too, became more than a meal.
As plates filled with smoked pork, 'ooti', buff entrails, and 'eromba', so did the conversations around them.
Young professionals, grandparents, curious friends from other communities, all bonded over spice, stories and second helpings.
Though they couldn't be there in person, Banner Lanamai James and P Achevei sent powerful messages of support.
As ambassadors of this second edition, they reminded everyone that even absence can carry presence, it said.
The release further highlighted the official online portal, powered by Visual Perception - The Art of Design, the 'festival's media partner.
From artiste line-ups and venue maps to post-event reels and crowd highlights, everything was just a click away.
For the diaspora and the curious alike, the portal turned into a digital doorway into the soul of Paonii.
