Indian Army commemorates anniversary of Op Sindoor at Kwakta

Bishnupur, May 11 2026:
To commemorate the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, the Red Shield Division of Indian Army organised an awareness and outreach programme at MS Creative School, Kwakta, in Bishnupur district on Monday.
As per a release issued by PIB Defence Wing, the programme was aimed to spread awareness about the operation's significance, objectives and achievements while promoting national unity, social harmony and community participation.
A total of 250 students participated in the programme along with teachers, parents and members of the local community.
Students, parents, teachers and staff members enthusiastically participated in lectures, interactive sessions and informative briefings conducted by Army personnel.
The interaction focused on themes of patriotism, mutual cooperation, national unity and constructive engagement between the Army and local community.
Army representatives also highlighted the ethos, operational preparedness and nation-building role of the Indian Army, while sharing insights into the courage, professionalism and commitment displayed by soldiers in safeguarding national interests.
The programme was attended by Basanta Singh, Assistant Inspector of Schools, DI Office, Moirang, from the Education Department, who witnessed the event as part of the outreach initiative.
The interaction further strengthened civil-military relations and reaffirmed the Indian Army's commitment towards continued awareness, youth engagement and community outreach in the spirit of Operation Sindoor.
