Imphal, March 11 2026:
The Thadou Students' Association (TSA) has flatly rejected and condemned an anonymous "Joint Declaration" that was allegedly issued by the "Thadou Inpi General Headquarters (TI-GHQ)" on March 5, 2026 .
In an official rebuttal issued on Tuesday, the TSA labelled the document as a "fraudulent, unauthenticated" attempt to defame and divide the Thadou community.
The association highlighted that the document lacked signatures, names, designations, and seals, giving it no legal standing.
The TSA asserted that under Indian law, only competent Government authorities of Courts can declare an organisation unlawful.
They described the TI-GHQ document as an "unlawful usurpation of authority" .
The association also criticised certain media outlets for irresponsibly publishing the baseless, unsigned document without verifying its source or authenticity.
The TSA demanded immediate corrections and retractions from all involved media outlets and urged the public and civil society to reject the anonymous forgery.
