World Homoeopathy Day observed

Khongnangthaba University marked World Homoeopathy Day 2026 today, honouring the 271st birth anniversary of Dr Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy.
As per a release issued by Khongnangthaba University (KU), the event was a joint effort by the university's IQAC, the Homoeopathic Medical Association of India (Manipur State Branch), and the Enlighten Unique Care Organisation (EUCO).
The formal session included addresses by several key figures, including Dr Aribam Guneshwor Sharma, Dean and Director, School of Allied Health Sciences-AYUSH, KU; Dr Khaidem Jayanta Meetei, Chairman of KU; and Dr Atom Sunil Singh, Registrar of KU.
As part of the event, a minute of silence was observed in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the recent violence in Manipur, including two children murdered in an attack at Tronglaobi Awang Leikai, and three people shot during protests.
The programme highlighted Dr Hahnemann's life and contributions, emphasizing compassion, respect, and social responsibility.
Through its respectful commemoration of World Homoeopathy Day, the university demonstrated dedication to AYUSH education and social responsibility, reflecting its compassion during a difficult time.
