Series of awareness programmes under FFPMS, CAMPA organised in Tengnoupal villages

Tengnoupal, May 09 2026: A series of awareness programmes under Forest Fire Prevention and Management Scheme (FFPMS) and Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) were organised during April and May in various villages under Tengnoupal Forest Division.

The awareness programmes were conducted by Mahamuda Begum, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Tengnoupal Forest Division.

Awareness cum incentivising programmes along with distribution of forest fire-fighting tools and equipment were conducted at Sita village on April 30, 2026 and at Maojang village on May 9, 2026 under FFPMS .

Further, awareness programmes on Forest Protection & Conservation and Community Participation & Sustainable Practices were organised at Khudei Laipham on May 4, 2026 and at Heirok Chingdongpok on May 6, 2026 under CAMPA .

During the programmes, the DCF highlighted the importance of community participation in forest protection, prevention of forest fires and sustainable use of natural resources.

The participants attended the programmes enthusiastically and assured their cooperation towards conservation and protection of forests and wildlife.
