Party will never tolerate any terrorist acts: Ibobi

As elsewhere in the country, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) organised a Jai Hind Yatra rally (Tiranga rally) on Friday, in solidarity with Indian armed forces who are involved in Operation Sindoor launched to avenge the terrorist attack on civilians in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
The rally commenced at 10 am from Congress Bhawan, participated by CLP leader O Ibobi, MPCC president K Meghachandra, CWC member Gaikhangam, former MP T Meinya and other party leaders.
The rally marched along the GM Hall road crossing North AOC till DM College Gate before returning to Congress Bhawan.
Speaking to newspersons near Kangla, CLP leader O Ibobi pointed out that the rally was part of a nationwide movement as per the instructions of All India Congress Committee.
"The war is against terrorists and not against any community," he stated, affirming that the Indian armed forces are not retaliating against the civilians of Pakistan.
"Congress will never tolerate any terrorist acts and as such, and fully supports the actions taken up by the Indian government," he declared.
MPCC president K Meghachandra also reiterated that the rally was taken out to show Congress support and encouragement for the Indian armed forces.
Meanwhile, presidents of District Congress Committees (DCC) also took out the rally in Thoubal district on Friday.
The rally was attended by DCC, Thoubal president N Lukhoi Singh, Bishnupur president Md Nur Rahaman, Imphal West-II president Th Modhusudhon, Sawombung president Ng Khurabanta, Kakching president A Rahaman Chesaba, Imphal East working president L Kumar Singh, Imphal West-I president P Ajit Singh, Sadar Hills working president Andrew and City president G Dayananda.
During the rally from DCC Thoubal till Arong Thong and back to starting point, the participants raised slogans in support of the Indian Armed forces.
