Imphal, November 05 2025: The 3rd Annual Art Exhibition, 2025 organised by the Department of Fine Art, Manipur University, kicked off today at MUTA Hall, Manipur University, Imphal.

The inaugural function of the exhibition was attended by Prof N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University; Thoidingjam Tombi Singh, National Lalit Kala Akademi Awardee (1988); and Prof N Pramodini Devi, Dean, School of Humanities, Manipur University as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr M Irikhomba, Head, Department of Fine Arts, said that the exhibition is conducted every year to provide a platform for students to showcase their creativity and talent.

He shared that a total of 85 artworks made by 42 alumni and students of the Department Fine Arts, MU will be showcased at the exhibition.

As part of the event, an Appreciation Certificate was presented to Pukhrambam Premchandra Singh, recipient of 64th National Lalit Kala Akademi Award.

Premchandra is also a research scholar at the Department of Fine Arts, MU.

The exhibition will be held daily from 11 am to 4 pm at Exhibition Hall, Department of Fine Arts, MU and conclude on November 10 .
