ICM organises Cooperative Walkathon

The Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Imphal organised a "Cooperative Walkathon" under the theme "Achievement of the Ministry of Cooperation" today.
The walkathon kicked off from the premises of ICM located at Lamphelpat, Imphal and covered die general vicinity of the institute.
Speaking in this connection, Khoichung Rangamlian Aimol, Director, ICM said that the Ministry of Cooperation was established on July 6, 2021 for the welfare and development of the cooperative sector in the country.
Chairman of the Ministry of Cooperation, Amit Shah has undertaken 54 programs focused the establishment of the Ministry and to make people aware of its achievements so far, said the ICM Director.
To further boost the efforts of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, NABARD and MSCB as they work for the progress of cooperative institutes, ICM is providing much needed training from its side.
Currently, ICM is undertaking various programs for fishery and dairy cooperatives, he added.
Stating that the foundation stone for a National Cooperative University will be laid tomorrow, he said that the University will focus on shaping the career of youths in the cooperative sector.
