Liangmai community welcomes new Government, pledges support for peace

Imphal, February 04 2026:
The Liangmai community has warmly welcomed the formation of the new government in Manipur and pledged its full cooperation in restoring peace and normalcy in the State.
Dr Chabonjinang Thiumai, Executive Secretary of the Liangmai Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), Manipur, made the statement during the first General Conference of LBCA-M held at Makhan Baptist Church.
The conference, being held from February 3 to 6, featured various activities on its second day, including choir competitions, quartet contests, choreography competitions and other events aimed at fostering unity and fellowship.
Dr Thiumai said that the conference was organised to promote love, oneness and solidarity among the Liangmai community, while also contributing towards the larger goal of peace and normalcy in the State.
Reiterating the community's commitment, he stated that the Liangmai people would actively work in whatever capacity possible to support initiatives that help restore harmony and strengthen social cohesion in Manipur.
