Unity March concludes at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, November 03 2025: The month-long National Padyatra campaign culminated on Monday with the successful organisation of a Unity March at Ukhrul town.

The rally commenced from Gandhi Chowk, and concluded at the Mini Secretariat, Hamleikhong, Ukhrul for a cultural display.

The programme began with a floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhai Patel led by Somatai Shaiza, State Executive of Sardar@150 Manipur.

Speaking as the chief guest, Somatai highlighted the significance of commemorating the anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

Shaiza stated that the purpose of the campaign was to promote national unity, support and promote self-reliance and eco-friendliness in alignment with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

A colourful cultural show was also presented by the NSS unit of St Joseph College, Ukhrul, adding a festive touch to the occasion.

The Atmanirbhar Pledge was administered by Masopam Kasar, NSS PO of St Joseph College.

Youth leaders including AS Peacemoon Zimik, convener of Sardar@150, Willy YR, co-convener, Wungtam Zimik, convenor of Aatmanirbhar and members of the NSS unit of Ukhrul actively participated in the march.

The Sardar @150 Unity March was organised by Mera Yuva Bharat, Ukhrul in collaboration with the NSS unit, Ukhrul.
