Imphal, May 03 2026: Senior journalist Nepram Krishnamohan was conferred with the prestigious Thiyam Premkumar Award today during a ceremony held at the Manipur Press Club.

The event which coincided with the observation of World Press Day, featured an award presentation and a poetry reading session.

The function was organised by Sahitya Thoupang Lup, Imphal, to celebrate excellence in journalism and literature.

The ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including Asem Bhakta, president of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU); Thongbram Amarjit, president of Sahitya Thoupang Lup; and Nepram Krishnamohan.

The gathering highlighted the vital role of the press and the importance of recognizing veteran journalists who have dedicated their careers to the service of the public.
