Employees, pensioners to meet on June 7 over pending demands

Imphal, May 31 2026: A joint meeting of Manipur Government employees and pensioners will be held on June 7 at 2 pm at Pensioners' Shanglen, Singjamei Chingamakha, to discuss long pending grievances, Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF) general secretary Sagolshem Prabinkumar said today.

Addressing the press at Pensioners' Shanglen, he said MGSF and Manipur State Pensioners' Union are jointly convening the meet.

Repeated pleas to the Government for raising the retirement age, clearing DA/DR dues, and filling vacant posts have seen no action, he added.

Prabinkumar stressed that extending the retirement age and hiking DA/DR would benefit both employees and the State's economy.

The June 7 meeting will decide the next course of action.
