Army conducts lectures for villagers

11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR (South) organised a lecture on natural resources at village CH Tengnoupal yesterday, said a press release issued by PRO IGAR(S).
The aim of the lecture was to make the local populace aware about the importance of nature and to promote conservation of natural resources.
The event was a huge success with extensive participation of 84 villagers including 14 males, 24 females and 46 children of CH Tengnoupal village.
The success of the event was evident by the gratitude expressed by the villagers.
The lecture culminated with refreshments for villagers, it added.
On the other hand, Noney Battalion under the aegis of Loktak Brigade organised a motivational lecture on various options for career management including armed forces at Kangchup to the youth of Nehru Yuva Kendra based at Kangpokpi.
A press release issued by PIB Defence Wing said the lecture was followed by a demo on obstacle course where the youth actively participated.
The battalion made arrangements for dissemination of information regarding upcoming recruitment rally .
and officers selection exams under UPSCs.
A total of 25 youth along with four officer bf Nehru Yuva Kendra participated in the lecture.
The youth and the staff expressed their gratitude to the battalion, it added.
