Free check-up camp for drivers held in Churachandpur

Churachandpur, January 30 2026: As part of the National Road Safety Month 2026 observance, a free eye-checkup camp for drivers was conducted today at the Eye OPD of the District Hospital, Churachandpur.

The programme was organised by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer and held under the supervision of eye Specialist, Dr Ginthianmung, District Nodal Officer of the National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB & VI), National Health Mission (NHM), Churachandpur.

The camp witnessed an impressive turnout of commercial vehicle drivers who availed services such as vision and colour-vision testing.

During the camp, Dr Ginthianmung emphasized the importance of regular eye examinations for drivers.

The doctor advised drivers to prioritize their eye health to prevent vision-related accidents and ensure safer roads.

The initiative aimed at promoting road safety while ensuring the wellbeing of drivers, ultimately contributing to accident prevention and safer roads in Churachandpur district.
