Court remands

Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has remanded 31-year-old Md Fajul Haque, who had posed as a Government official in the Court recently, to judicial custody till September 10.Md Fajul Haque hails from Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi Ubakthong Makha.
He was arrested on August 21 after getting caught impersonating one Md Ajid Khan.
He had produced a forged Government identity card and salary certificates to be surety of an accused arrested in a case.
The forged documents were noticed and he was arrested.
Fajul Haque was produced before the Court of the CJM yesterday after the completion of the police custody period.
In the Court, the Prosecutor revealed that Fajul Haque had been working under one Md Nasir and he had also posed as an attendant in the Veterinary Department in 2024 and stood before the Court as a surety for an accused person.
He earned Rs 3,500 for the act.
