Training on fisheries launched

Imphal, October 27 2025:
ICAR-Central Institute of Coldwater Fisheries Research has launched a 5-day capacity building/training programme on "Integrated Fish Farming for Livelihood Generation" at Oinam Awang Community Hall, Bishnupur district.
Organised in association with the Fisheries Department, the launch of the programme was attended by Co-operative Societies Manipur Registrar W Ibohal, DFO Bishnupur K Dineshor and BIMUL Chairman Nongmaithem Debananda.
ICAR-CICFR Bhimtal Principal Scientist and Head Dr Suresh Chandra and Senior Scientist Dr Kh Victoria Chanu attended as resource persons.
Feeds and fingerlings were distributed at the event.
