Imphal, August 27 2025: Dalit Sahitya Academy, India on Wednesday organised a reception ceremony for achievers who were conferred national & international awards this year.

The ceremony was conducted as part of the yearlong observance of the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim, Rao Ambedkar at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

It was graced by former Leishemba Sanajaoba, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha; Dr Yumnam Mohendra Singh, national secretary, Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and convenor, Global Corona Award Committee, Asia; Dr K Sobita Devi, retired Director, Art & Culture, Manipur and former Chairperson, Manipur State Commission for Women; L Tondon Singh, state secretary, Manipur State Scouts Union; and social worker Nongthombam Dilipkumar Singh as presidium members.

During the event, citations and lengyan phee were presented to 35 achievers who conferred national & international awards this year.

Two books titled "Wangjing Taba Yumnam Sagei (Revised Edition)" edited by Dr Y Mahendrakumar Singh and "Dr Mahendrakumar Amasung Magi Punsi Khongchat (Vol 2)" written by Dr Tekcham Rameshor Meitei were also released.
