Thoubal, December 26 2025: The Ahallon Anganglon United Club on Thursday handed over a rescued eagle to the Thoubal Forest Range, which was later transferred to the Manipur Zoological Garden at Iroisemba for proper care and protection.

According to reports, the eagle was first spotted by a group of children in a field at Lilong Haoreibi while they were out on a morning walk.

The bird was subsequently rescued by Khullakpam Rakip of Haoreibi Makha Leikai, who handed it over to the club.

After taking proper care of the bird, the club informed the forest authorities and formally handed over the eagle to the Thoubal Forest staff.

The eagle was later kept at the Iroisemba Zoological Garden for observation and care.
