Except in March this year, they were able to distribute rice to the beneficiaries but the allocation was short of one truck load.
Now, the department has terminated the FPS agents saying that their terms have ended.
They tried to discuss the matter with the Imphal East DSO of CAF&PD department but could riot get an appointment with the DC too not responding to pleas.
At some locations, the department distributed rice for three months though they assured rice allocation for five months.
Beneficiaries in the constituency are extremely disturbed by the way the department is handling the matter, she elaborated.
Regarding the ADM assuring allocation of rice from Tuesday, Sujata suggested that the government publicly notify the fresh list of FPS agents.
She also wondered whether the government is causing trouble for the people residing in the constituency as the MLA is not from the ruling BJP.
The agent further posed if Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed the department to ensure suffering of the people before releasing the allocated rice quota.
