AICC's Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan campaign launched in Thoubal

The All India Congress (AICC) nationwide campaign "Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan" was launched in Thoubal on Saturday as part of its drive to reorganise the party structure and elect new District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents.
The programme, organised by the Thoubal District Congress Committee, was held at Thoubal Congress Bhavan.
The launching ceremony was attended by AICC observer Ajoy Kumar Lalloo, MPCC president O Ibobi Singh; CLP leader K Meghachandra; Khangabok AC MLA Okram Surjakumar Singh; former Ministers M Okendro; M Hemanta; MPCC treasurer and former MLA of Wabagai AC, Md Fajur Rahim; and former MLA of Moirang AC, P Sarat, among others.
Speaking about the campaign, AICC observer Ajoy Kumar Lalloo stated that the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan is being conducted in line with the directives of the AICC president Mallikaijun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to strengthen the party at the grassroots level by restructuring district units.
He further said that the newly selected presidents from each District Committees would personally meet the party's national president and would be given the opportunity to interact and raise issues concerning the difficulties and hardships faced by the people.
