District TB Forum reviews progress, renews commitment to eliminating TB in Thoubal

Thoubal, February 20 2026: A review meeting of the Thoubal District TB Forum was convened today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Thoubal, to assess the ongoing activities of the forum and to further strengthen its functioning.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Yumnam Robita, who also serves as chairman of the District TB Forum.

In her address, she underscored the need for collective community participation and coordinated efforts in combating tuberculosis.

District TB Officer, Dr Shameen presented a detailed report on the steps and initiatives undertaken in the district so far, highlighting the district's effort through a PowerPoint presentation.

The meeting was attended by key health officials, including Chief Medical Officer, Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul; Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Thoubal, Dr W Ruhinikumar; District TB Unit coordinator Thongam Stephee; Lilong, along with SDOs, SDCs and the BDO of Lilong and Thoubal subdivisions.
