Free mega health camp benefits 129 patients in Chandel

Chandel, July 18 2026: A one-day free mega health camp was organised on Saturday at the Town Hall, Panchai, by Jivan Hospital, Kakching, in association with YN College of Nursing and Paramedical College and in collaboration with the Lambung Youth and Cultural Club (LYCC).

The outreach initiative brought a 40-member medical team comprising specialist doctors, professors, nurses, pharmacists and administrative staff from various departments of Jivan Hospital to provide quality healthcare services to residents of Chandel district while strengthening community outreach.

A total of 129 beneficiaries availed themselves of the services offered during the camp.

Patients received consultations in Endocrinology, Hepatology and Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Dentistry, General Medicine, Physiotherapy and Dietetics.

The camp also offered free Random Blood Sugar (RBS) and Uric Acid tests, while essential medicines were distributed free of cost to patients as required.
