MNP+ to observe 43rd International AIDS Candlelight Memorial

Imphal, May 16 2026: The Manipur Network of Positive People (MNP+) is set to host the 43rd International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Observance 2026 this Sunday, May 17.The event will take place at the Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul.

Organised by MNP+ and supported by the Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS), the memorial is part of one of the world's oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV awareness.

This year's observance is centered on the powerful theme "Light The Legacy : Remember, Advance, Act" .

The theme highlights the resilience of communities affected by HIV, the enduring legacy of those lost to AIDS, and the steadfast leadership of people living with HIV in shaping the future of the HIV response.

The ceremony will include a candlelight vigil, providing a space for solidarity and a renewed commitment to ending the epidemic.
