Dharti Aaba campaigns begin in Pherzawl; Noney today

A 15-day Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan - Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp for Pherzawl district was launched on Sunday at the DC's Office Complex while in Noney district the campaign will begin from Monday.
Launch of the campaign was attended by district officials, village authority chairmen, and residents from surrounding villages.
Following the inauguration, the dignitaries inspected each of the service stalls on display.
The launch coincided with the campaign's first outreach to the villages of Pherzawl, Tuolbung, Tinsuong, and Damdiei.
The event witnessed a strong public turnout, with many residents availing themselves of services provided by various government departments.
Dedicated service stalls were set up to assist beneficiaries with registration, enrolment, and on-the-spot distribution of services, ensuring the smooth delivery of welfare benefits.
Relevant departments provided support for rationcard-related services under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), extended assistance through the Poshan Abhiyan nutrition programme, enrolled eligible individuals under Ayushman Bharat - PMJAY and provided immunisation support through Mission Indradhanush, along with services under TB Mukt Bharat and the Nikshay Poshan Scheme, and facilitated enrolment under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) .
The District Industries Centre (DIC) also set up a stall offering services related to Start-Up India, Mudra Yojana, and PM Vishwakarma Yojana, while the Lead Dis trict Manager (LDM) handled services under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PM-JDY) .
Other departments also provided support for the PM-KISAN Scheme and Kisan Credit Cards, and managed services under the MGNREGA Scheme.
Additionally, several other departments offered a range of welfare schemes and support services to ensure broader benefit coverage for all eligible residents.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, this transformative initiative is dedicated to t,he comprehensive development of tribal villages nationwide.
Named in honour of Birsa Munda, a revered tribal freedom fighter known as "Dharti Aaba" (Father of the Earth), the scheme seeks to bridge critical infrastructural and socio-economic gaps in tribal areas.
The ambitious initiative in Pherzawl district aims to cover 22 identified villages, directly benefiting over 4,000 tribal households across Thanlon, Tipaimukh, and Vangai Blocks.
The campaign will run till June 30 .
Meanwhile, as a part of a nationwide initiative in tribal regions spearheaded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, a 15-day awareness and benefit saturation camp 'Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh)' will commence on Monday at the Multipurpose Hall at Longmai Part-3, Noney district.
The campaign aims to ensure on-the-ground delivery of entitlements through village- and cluster-level camps.
These camps will facilitate access to a range of government schemes and Services, including (but riot limited to): Aadhaar enrolment, ration cards, Ayushman Bharat Cards (PM-JAY), Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), PM-Kisan benefits, Jan Dhan accounts, insurance cover under PMJJBY and PMSBY, and social security schemes such as old age pension, widow pension, and disability pension.
In addition, employment and livelihood schemes like MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, and Mudra loans will be promoted, alongside benefits for women and children through schemes such as PMMVY, ICDS, and immunisation programmes.
Various government departments will set up stalls at the venue to facilitate easy access to these services.
Noney district denizens have been appealed to actively participate in the campaign and avail themselves of the welfare schemes provided by the government.
The awareness and benefit saturation camps will also be conducted across all sub-divisional blocks within the district.
