Vasant Swagatam 2026 celebrates traditional art forms at Moirang

Moirang, March 15 2026: With the aim of promoting various traditional art forms of Manipur, artists of Panthoibi Thang-Ta and Jagoi Sindam Sanglen organised the "Vasant Swagatam 2026" at its auditorium hall located at Moirangkhunou.

The programme was held under the Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme of the Ministry of Culture and showcased a range of indigenous performing arts.

The event was attended by social worker Tongbram Bishworjit as chief guest; social worker Loubuktongbam Kondum Sharma as functional president; and Panthoibi Thang-Ta and Sindam Shanglen secretary Laishram Raju as guest of honour.

During the programme, the artists of Panthoibi Thang-Ta and Sindam Shanglen presented a variety of traditional performances including Thougal Jagoi, Pung Cholom, Maibi Jagoi, Thang Leiteng Haiba, Krishna Vandna.

Mao Jagoi and Dhol Dholok Cholom, among others, enthralling the audience and highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Manipur.
