Jiribam, July 14 2025: A comprehensive training programme for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in-charge under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner/DistrictElection Officer (DEO) Jiribam Krishna Kumar, IAS was held today at the conference hall of DC Office Jiribam.

The training program held under the National Training Program (NTP) on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls aimed to reinforce the Election Commission's directives for error-free electoral rolls.

It was also attended by ERO/SDO Jiribam Laishram Tarajeet Singh, MCS, ALMTs/SDCs Jiribam Moirangthem Devananda, Atom Bijendro Singh, AERO Jiribam Abdul Kalam, ACP Jiribam Prasanta Ahongshangbam and other election officials.

Welcoming the newly appointed BLOs of the 40-Jiribam Assembly Constituency, DC/DEO Jiribam Krishna Kumar emphasized the crucial role of BLOs in ensuring the smooth conduct of elections.

He highlighted the Commission's focus on capacity building of election machinery, particularly in the last mile delivery of services.

The training programme aimed to equip BLOs with the necessary knowledge and skills to execute the SIR 2025 effectively, following the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission.

Krishna Kumar further instructed the BLOs to adhere to the guidelines to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the electoral rolls.

The training marked an important step in preparing the election machinery for the upcoming electoral processes, and is expected to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the electoral system in Jiribam district.
