Kangpokpi, April 11 2026: Assam Rifles conducted a high-level security coordination meeting at its Company Operating Base in Waroiching under Kangpokpi district with the participation of the traditional leadership of the surrounding areas.

The gathering brought together 11 village chiefs from various localities, including Manamjang, to refine the collaborative security framework between the force and the local populace, said a press note issued by IGAR (S).

The session focused on a nuanced assessment of the prevailing security landscape and the collective monitoring of suspicious movements to ensure regional stability.

A contingent of 25 personnel from Assam Rifles including the officers engaged with the local leaders, highlighting how proactive information sharing serves as a vital deterrent against insurgent and anti-social activities.
