MLA Surjakumar inaugurates UDC office building at Sangaiyumpham

Thoubal, May 10 2026: MLA of Khangabok Assembly Constituency Okram Surjakumar on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed office building of the United Development Committee (UDC), an apex body comprising various clubs, associations and organisations of Sangaiyumpham Part I and II.

The office building was constructed under the Local Area Development Fund of the Khangabok AC MLA .

The inauguration ceremony was attended by UDC president Md Zafar Ali, former Zilla Parishad member of Sangaiyumpham Md Hibjurahaman, Joint Director of the Department of Minority Affairs, Government of Manipur, Md Salauddin Khan, and chairperson of the Administrative Committee of Sangaiyumpham Part II Gram Panchayat, Md Wahidur Rahman, among others.

As part of the programme, MLA Okram Surjakumar honoured the executive members of the UDC by presenting gifts in recognition of their contributions towards the welfare and development of the locality.

During the event, Mohammad Aman Nawaz, who secured the 56th rank in the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (MCSCCE), 2022, was also felicitated with gifts in appreciation of his achievement.
