SWC celebrates 44th Foundation Day

Imphal, September 09 2026: Social Workers Congress, Khongman celebrated its 44th Foundation Day today at the club premises.

Chairperson of Khongman GP Moirangthem Nungshirei, SWC president Athokpam Birendra and intending candidate of Thongju AC Thingujam Oxford attended as presidium members.

As part of the celebration, floral tributes were paid to the portraits of deceased members of the club.

Meritorious students who secured high marks in Class 10 and 12 examinations were also felicitated.

Speaking on the occasion, Athokpam Birendra said the club has been playing a vital role in taking part in issues of the State and in building a progressive society since its inception.

He said monetary assistance was provided to the relief camp at Akampat in connection with the celebration and the club will continue to work for the people and the State.

Thingujam Oxford lauded the contributions of the club and stressed the urgent need for NRC update to identify illegal immigrants to save the State.
