14th Bn BSF conducts CAP at Keirak

Thoubal, December 07 2025: The ADHOC Mizoram & Cachar 14th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) organised a Civic Action Programme at Keirak Mamang Leikai Community Hall on Sunday, distributing sports materials and other essential items to villagers of Keirak under Keirak Gram Panchayat and to children of BDS Children's Home.

The event, conducted with support from the Keirak GP and local clubs, was attended by Wabagai AC MLA Dr Usham Deben; ADHOC Mizoram & Cachar 14th Bn BSF, 2nd i/c Sh Prakash Raju Koshy; Deputy Commandant of 14th Bn BSF, Sh Rohit Bhatt; Additional SP (LO) Kakching L Sangkarjit; OC of Kakching PS, P Priyobarta; Keirak GP former Pradhan Elangbam Ongbi Shanti Leima; Keirak Wabagai Zilla Parishad former member, S Dhanabir Luwang, along with other officials of BSF.

Speaking at the occasion, MLA Dr Usham Deben lauded the efforts of the BSF for its continued initiative toward community development and for strengthening harmony with the public through such Civic Action Programme.

As part of the initiative, sports items and essentials materials including footballs, volleyballs, Ludo, carrom boards, school bags, white boards, water storage tanks (Sintex), solar lights, plastic chairs, blankets, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, and buckets were distributed to the villagers.

A free health check-up for children below 15 years was also conducted, along with distribution of medicines.
