Imphal, February 06 2026: A team of the elite National Security Guard (NSG) will carry out a reconnaissance exercise at the Archbishop House, Mantripukhri and surrounding areas on February 9 and 10, 2026 .

Notably, there are many vital installations and institutes in the Mantripukhri area including Civil Secretariat, IIIT and Software Technology Park.

Informing about the planned reconnaissance exercise, the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked the Chief Secretary to detail a liaison officer to facilitate the reconnaissance team.

The MHA has also requested the Chief Secretary to provide any other assistance, if required, by the reconnaissance team.

It also asked the 'Nodal Officer' to provide a blue-print/floor plan/digital walk-through of the Archbishop House to the commander of the NSG reconnaissance team.
