CRPF holds TB Screening Camp

Imphal, May 04 2026: A TB screening camp was held on April 30 at the Unit Hospital of 143 Battalion CRPF, Lamphelpat, under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 100-day campaign.

The camp was organised in association with the District TB Office, Imphal West.

A medical team led by Dr Homendro Irengbam and supported by the Mobile ICTC and NGD Team, Imphal West, conducted the screening.

Tests included chest X-ray, blood sugar, haemoglobin, and HIV for early detection of TB and related conditions.

The team stressed early diagnosis, treatment adherence, and awareness to eliminate TB .

Commandant Ravinder Sharma appreciated the District TB Office and medical team for the initiative.

He said such drives help the force and support the national goal of TB elimination.

He added that similar health camps will continue in future.

As many as 82 personnel were screened during the camp.
