PNBA concludes 2-day music training programme at Senapati

Senapati, February 04 2026: The Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) Youth Department successfully concluded a two-day music training programme on Staff Notation, hosted by the TNK Senapati Baptist Church from February 3 to 4 .

The programme was graced by the presence of Rev RP Ngupani, Finance and Development Secretary, PNBA, who served as the speaker on the theme "Faith, Hope and Praise" drawn from Psalms 42:11.In his address, he emphasized the importance of Christian music which is founded in Christian faith through Jesus Christ, nurturing hope of peace among worshippers, and fostering a life filled with praise as a collective witness of the community.

Ruth Key Thaipei, who holds a Master's degree in Church Music with a major in Voice from the Philippines Baptist Theological Seminary served as the resource person for the training, guiding a total of 230 trainees, comprising both male and female participants.

The participants included choir directors, song leaders, youth directors, Sunday School teachers.

Church-sponsored School and College teachers, music enthusiastic learners and Church elders representing 85 churches under PNBA.

Highlighting the need for coherence in Christian music, particularly in staff notation among local congregations, the training underscored music as a vital instrument of God in community worship.

The programme envisioned music as a means to engage people of all age groups in ministry, nurture young talents, and prepare God-called men and women for mission and evangelism in devotion and good governance.
