Imphal, January 04 2026: A felicitation ceremony in honour of Chongtham Loyalakpi Chanu, National Handicrafts Awardee for 2024 in the field of Jewellery, was held today at the campus of Singjubung Youths Organisation (SYO) in Khwai Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak.

The ceremony was jointly organised by SYO and Kwai Singjubung Women's Welfare Association.

The ceremony was attended by SYO president Narengbam Shantakumar, Khwai Singjubung Women's Welfare Association secretary Chingangbam Thoibi Devi and other senior members of SYO.

During the event, SYO secretary Bedic Lairikyengbam presented a shawl and a flower bouquet to Chongtham Loyalkapi Chanu, as a token of appreciation and encouragement.

Notably, President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the National Handicrafts Awards to Chongtham Loyalakpi Chanu and other three persons from the State on December 9, 2025 at the Handicrafts Awards Ceremony (2023 & 2024) held at the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
