Imphal, September 03 2025: The 38th Foundation Day of Writers' Forum Imphal was celebrated today at Manipur Hindi Parishad Imphal Hall, Old Assembly Road, Imphal today.

The celebration was organised by Writers' Forum Imphal in association with Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA), Imphal.

The event was graced by Sunanda Thokchom, secretary, MSKA Imphal; Keisham Priyokumar, president, Writers' Forum Imphal; and I Basanta Singh, vice president, Writers' Forum Imphal as dignitaries.

During the event, homage and floral tributes were paid to the deceased members of the Imphal Writers' Forum.

Founder members of the forum namely Thangjam Ibopishak, Keisham Priyokumar, Lamabam Birmani, Yumlembam Ibomcha, RK Bhubonsana and Saratchand Thiyam were felicitated along with nine recipients of different literary awards.

A poetry recitation and a written quiz competition for children were also conducted.

The 129th edition of the book 'Sahityagi Pao' was also released.
