Thoubal, August 30 2026: BJP Heirok Mandal and District Social Welfare Office, Thoubal distributed 1,050 pension cards for Ima Nongthangleima YaiphaTengbang Scheme and Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme at Heirok Part-II Laikon today.

Heirok AC MLA Thokchom Radheshyam, retired Head Master Thokchom Chaorjit, Social Welfare Department Director Sheikh Abdul Hakim, District Social Welfare Officer Thoubal Kangujam Nongpokngamba Salaicha, Shikhong Sekmai Municipal Council's Caretaker Chairperson S Roma Devi, Heirok Municipal Council's Caretaker Chairperson Laishram ongbi Nungshisana Devi and members of he public attended the event.

At the event, MLA Th Radheshyam said that the schemes are initiatives of the Government aimed at providing financial assistance to elderly persons aged 60 and above and vulnerable women aged 40 years and above.

Further, all efforts will be taken up to cover those who are found left out after verification, he said.
