Free eye check-up camp held at Wabagai Bazar

Imphal, December 29 2025: A one-day free eye check-up camp was conducted at Meehul Clinic, Wabagai Bazar in Kakching district on Monday, aimed at facilitating early detection and effective management of eye-related ailments.

As per a release issued by the Shija Eye Care Foundation, the camp was jointly organised by the Shija Eye Care Foundation, NPCB & VI (Manipur Chapter), and Meehul Clinic as part of their ongoing efforts to strengthen community-based eye services and improve access to quality ophthalmic care.

A total of 85 patients were screened during the camp.

Following clinical evaluation, 25 patients were counselled for cataract surgery and 9 patients for pterygium surgery.

Additionally, 5 patients requiring further assessment were referred to the base unit for advanced evaluation and treatment.
