CRPF saves snakebite victim in Kangpokpi

Kangpokpi, June 29 2025:
In a swift and life-saving response, personnel of 112 Battalion, CRPF, Kangpokpi, extended timely medical assistance to a snakebite victim from Maohing Village on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Thanglenmang Guite (31), son of Paokhothang Guite, sustained a snakebite on his ankle while at his village.
Alarmed villagers immediately rushed him to the CRPF camp at Kangpokpi seeking emergency help.
Acting promptly, the CRPF medical team, under the guidance of the Unit Doctor/CMO, administered crucial first aid, including an Anti-Venom Antiserum IP injection kit.
The patient was then safely transported to the District Hospital, Kangpokpi, accompanied by a Unit Nursing Assistant for continuous monitoring.
Due to prompt intervention, Guite's condition is reported to be stable and is currently out of danger.
The incident highlights the vital role of security forces not only in maintaining law and order but also in providing essential humanitarian assistance to the local community during emergencies.
