Thoubal, May 27 2025: A college level symposium on the theme "Ending Plastic Pollution Globally" was conducted today at the conference hall of Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal.

Organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Waikhom Mani Girls' College in collaboration with the NSS Unit, the inaugural of the symposium was graced by Waikhom Mani Girls' College principal, Professor Dr H Manoranjan Sharma, vice-president, Dr S Shyamkiran, Thoubal College Botany Department, Associate Professor Dr Th Tomba, Thoubal College Environmental Science Department, Asst Professor Dr S Daisy and Manipur University Zoology Dept, faculty Dr Salam Himika as presidium members.

Khomdram Joshi Devi of BA 5th semester bagged the first position, while Konsam Toniya and Waikhom Jenia of Bsc 6th semester bagged the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the symposium.

The winners of today's symposium will represent the college in the State level symposium competition.
