Imphal, October 26 2025:
The Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has alleged irregularities in the appointment of a Professor at Manipur University (MU).
Addressing the media at Thangmeiband Khuyathong today, KSA president Sukham Bidyananda stated that a notice was issued on February 23, 2024, for the recruitment of two Professors at MU, requiring candidates to hold a PhD and possess 10 years of teaching experience.
He claimed that a candidate, previously teaching at a private college in Andhra Pradesh with only eight years of teaching experience, was appointed despite not meeting the required criteria.
He stated that the Vice Chancellor of Manipur University must be held accountable for the alleged oversights in the recruitment process.
