Imphal, October 24 2025: Police arrested two drug peddlers along with 119 gram of brown sugar and about 1 kg of WY tablets.

The two persons identified as Md Bogimayum Khommel (54) of Paobitek Maning Leikai under Wangoi SubDivision and Md Muhammad Iboyai (51) of Boryangbi Mayai Leikai, Moirang SubDivision were arrested from Martyrs Park in Senapati and from in front of Tengnoupal police station on October 22 and October 23 respectively, according to police.

In a separate operation, security personnel also arrested 26-year-old Sagomsungpham Sohail from Khomidok Mayai Leikai in his residential area under Heingang police station, Imphal East district, on October 21 .

The raid yielded 91 bottles of Tusserex-TR cough syrup, a psychotropic substance frequently misused, along with Rs 12,780 in cash and a mobile phone.
