3-day farmers training on pest management concludes at Bishnupur

Imphal, March 24 2026: A three-day training programme on "Promotion of Integrated Pest Management Technologies in Manipur", organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bishnupur, concluded today at Bishnupur.

The training was conducted under the NEH Component of ICAR-NRIIPM, New Delhi, with the objective of equipping farmers with modem and sustainable pest management practices.

During the technical sessions, resource persons provided detailed insights on soil sampling techniques, IPM in Kharif crops, adoption of IPM technologies and improved production technology of higher value crops.

As part of the programme, KVK Bishnupur SMS (Horticulture) Dr P Bijaya and SMS (Agricultural Extension) Dr A Tarajit distributed knapsack sprayers, neem oil, pheromone traps and tri-bags to participating farmers.
