Students hold anti-drug rally

Imphal, May 23 2026: A rally against harmful drugs and their ill effects on students was organised Saturday at Regular English High School, Kwakeithel, by the Zonal Education Office, Wangoi, in collaboration with the school authority.

The rally was flagged off by Principal S Phulendro Singh.

Students actively took part, carrying placards with slogans calling for a drug-free zone in and around the school campus.

They raised awareness on the dangers' of drug abuse and the need for a healthy, disciplined life.

The rally started from the school campus, proceeded to Kwakeithel Outpost, and moved along the road leading to Imphal College, Kwakeithel Lamdong, before returning to the school.

Later, an awareness programme was held in the school auditorium.

Addressing the gathering, Phulendro Singh urged students to stay away from drugs, focus on studies and moral values, and become responsible citizens to build a healthy and peaceful society.

Teachers and students took a pledge to maintain a drug-free school environment and spread awareness against drug abuse.
